描写牧场的优美散文诗

The investigation of nature is an infinite pasture-ground

where all may graze, and where the more bite, the longer the grass

grows, the sweeter is its flavor, and the more it nourishes.

The

whole visible universe is but a storehouse of images and signs to which

the imagination will give a relative place and value; it is a sort of pasture which the imagination must digest and transform.

The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.

lands - what good are his ostentatious displays here? When your

allotted time is up, you must go. Take care of your real hearth and

but you must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and

to have drunk of the deep waters, but you must foul the residue with

your feet? And as for my flock, they eat that which you have trodden

with your feet; and they drink that which you have fouled with your feet.
